Couples Intensives

Does Your Relationship Need an Intensive?

An intensive is an immersive format of therapy for couples that want to fast track their progress and convert weeks or months of therapy into one weekend.

Studies show that this highly focused format of therapy for couples can be more beneficial for immediate progress than traditional weekly one hour sessions.  An intensive also suits couples whose weekly commitments make it difficult to engage in regular weekly therapy, for those in a crisis, or looking for a significant breakthrough in a short period of time.

A couple intensive also appeals to couples who cannot find a suitable relationship therapist and must travel out of town.  In this case you might even want to make a weekend of it and book a place to stay, restore your relationship whilst taking a break.

“Marathon sessions get so much momentum. Couples are so focussed on their relationship that they really move through interventions and process attachment injuries much quicker” – Julie Gottman
